Sally Hines is Chair of Sociology at the University of Sheffield, UK. Her work is in the areas of gender, sexuality, intimacy, and the body; addressing transformations in these identity practices and everyday experiences.
Sally has published widely in the areas of transgender, gender, sexuality, intimacy, citizenship and recognition, the body and feminist politics and theory.
As well as leading the ESRC project ‘Living Gender in Diverse Times’, Sally is currently the Principle Investigator of a three-year international ESRC project on Trans Pregnancy.
